Muddy Waters

Muddy waters down by the creek,

tread lightly, not knowing how deep.

Distorted vision I can’t see what’s underneath.

Submerged my being, although I began hesitantly.

Perturbed I was with images increasingly bleak.

Floating calmly, with liquid at my cheeks.

Pursed lips how I breathe, oh-so effortlessly.

Oculars closed, clothes heavy,

from the water that’s seeped.

Pure bliss, not a sound or a peep.

My mind re-enacts this visions on repeat,

so I repeat…

Muddy waters down by the creek,

tread lightly, not knowing how deep.

Distorted vision I can’t see what’s underneath.

Submerged my being, although I began hesitantly.

Perturbed I was with images increasingly bleak.

Floating calmly, with liquid at my cheeks.

Pursed lips how I breathe, oh-so effortlessly.

Oculars closed, clothes heavy, from the water that’s seeped.

Pure bliss, not a sound or a peep.

My mind re-enacts this visions on repeat,

so I repeat…

Muddy muddy waters down down by the creek,

my mind re-enacts these visions on repeat.

Muddy muddy waters down down by the creek,

my mind re-enacts these visions on repeat,

so I repeat…
